JONATHAN Ross is to front a tribute to comedians Dudley Moore and Peter Cook - in one of his last shows before leaving the BBC.
Pete and Dud: The Lost Sketches will feature live performances of the pair's work by comics such as Angus Deayton and Adrian Edmondson, as well as interviews.
It airs this month to mark 40 years since the BBC erased 13 of the 23 episodes from the duo's show Not Only But Also as it cleared archives.
From The Sun. (Sorry.)

[08 Jul 2007|06:25pm] |
Hello! I've been having a great old time today, rewatching the Secret Policeman's Ball and generally spending far too much time in front of screens. Here's the result: 14 icons, some picture-y, some quote-y.
[1-6][Pictures! Michael Palin, John Cleese, Peter Cook] [7-14][Quotes - mainly Peter Cook, amongst others]
( I've got a viper in this box, you know... )
Happy Sunday! :D

i was just wondering if anyone knows any more about the lp/ep magnolia-opus c1 ft. pete and dud. my boss found it the otherday, i work in a record shop, and thought it some folk album until he turned it other and saw it featured pete and dud talking about magnolia picture frames, it turned out the guy who owned the record worked for the company, but i was wondering if anyone has ever seen it before or knows the value of such an lp as it features in no record price guides nor does it on any peter cook discographies. if i can i'll try and get the details and a photo of it..it's a real oddity.

I know that is the community of mr.Cook but I thing may be you know. They was a friend.
Thank you very much. Mary

Hey all! I got a scanner for Christmas (Season's Greeblings to everyone, btw!) and went kinda crazy scanning pics in from Wendy Cook's recent biography/memoir/whatever. I haven't added captions to the pics yet (I really need some sleep now!) - and there are other little tidbits around the site that I need to update - but despite the "excuse our dust"-ness of the site, I'm in the Christmas spirit and just want to share the Cookie love with you cool peeps. :)
Pictures! Enjoy! Feel free to make icons, artsy stuff, that sort of thing, if you wanna. :)
Cheery bye, Scarlett

I thought that it'd be best to ask this community if anyone had a larger version of this picture:

I had it ages ago, but it seems to have disappeared from both my computer and the internet. Hm.

Hi all, fantastic to see a community for the wonderful Mr. Cook! I was wondering if I could be very cheeky and ask any members if they would be able to make me some Peter Cook icons, preferably with pics from this Parkinson interview - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzazJqOV_Eg
I'd really appreciate anything you could come up with - I don't have the equipment or the knowhow to do it myself! :-)

| Hello hello I'm back again |
[01 Aug 2006|08:51am] |
Sorry this community has been a bit dead lately, I am a rubbish moderator. :( Thanks to the lovely peeps who have posted icons etc, I shall try and post news more often, and if anyone else has anything to say please go ahead and post!
A snippet to be going on with: Peter Cook’s first wife Wendy is to publish her memoirs, breaking her 35-year silence over their tempestuous marriage.
Biographies aren't always my sort of thing to be honest, as the 'usually miserable true story behind people who make me happy' thing upsets me a bit, (I mean obviously I know people are human, I just don't always want to sit down and read a book about it really) but if anyone's got a right to write such books it's an ex-wife I suppose and the whole point of this one appears to be that it will be more positive than the usual story.
